Hitotsubashi University is a Japanese national university specializing in Social Sciences and is located in Tokyo. The university was established in 1875 as Institute of Business Training by Arinori Mori. The university was in talks with a merger with University of Tokyo post World War II but the merger did not happen. The university adopted its present name in 1949.
