Application Options
Applicants can choose to apply through one of the following platforms:
• Hope College Application: A direct application to the college.
• Common Application: Allows students to apply to multiple institutions, including Hope College, simultaneously.
Both applications are available starting August 1 for the following fall enrollment. Applicants are encouraged to complete their application by November 1 to receive an admission decision in early December.
Academic Requirements
• High School Transcript: Submission of an official high school transcript is required. Hope College recommends that applicants have completed a college-preparatory curriculum.
• Grade Point Average (GPA): While there is no strict minimum GPA requirement, the average GPA of admitted students is approximately 3.83 on a 4.0 scale, indicating that successful applicants typically have strong academic records.
Standardized Test Scores
Hope College has adopted a test-optional policy, meaning that submission of SAT, ACT, or CLT scores is not mandatory. Applicants who believe their test scores accurately reflect their academic abilities may choose to include them in their application. For those who do submit scores, the middle 50% range for the SAT is between 1090 and 1310.
