Husson University is a leading private University in Bangor, Maine. It is the only private University in the Bangor region and one of the three Universities in the region. The motto of the University is Character and Humility. There are more than 3,000 students enrolled in the different programs of the University of which more than 2,000 are undergraduates and more than 700 are postgraduates. Husson University History

Husson University's history started in 1898 as the Shaw School of Business. It was situated on the second floor of a building in downtown Bangor. After getting authorization from Maine Legislature in 1953, it was renamed Husson College. It became a university in the year 2008.
