1. Academic Background

A completed bachelor's degree (minimum 3-4 years) in a relevant field

Minimum GPA: 2.5 on the German scale (~75% or equivalent)

Credit Requirements: Must meet program-specific ECTS in core subjects (e.g., 30 ECTS in engineering for technical programs)

2. Language Proficiency

German-taught programs: TestDaF (4x4), DSH-2, or Goethe C2

English-taught programs (e.g., Advanced Optical Technologies, Biomedical Engineering): IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 90+ iBT

Some programs (e.g., Media Technology) accept dual language proof

3. Program-Specific Requirements

Precision Engineering: Technical interview + prior lab experience

Industrial Engineering: GMAT 600+ (recommended)

AI & Robotics: Coding test (Python/C++)

Nanotechnology: Research proposal
