The International Aviation Academy of New Zealand (IAANZ) is a professional flight training division of New Zealand's largest Aero Club, the Canterbury Aero Club which was established in 1928. The institute is located in Christchurch City.

The institute offers various courses related to pilot license: Private Pilot's License; Commercial Pilot License / Instrument Rating (Multi Engine); Commercial Pilot License / Instrument Rating (Single Engine); Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Practical & Theory; Private Pilot License / CPL Theory; Instrument Rating; Flight Instructor Rating; CPL Theory – Fixed Wing; Basic Gas Turbine; Airline Transport Pilot Theory Papers and a Multi Crew Course.

The institute offers the initial training at its own airfield and at fully operational international airports for advanced training. It has a fleet of 28 aircrafts which includes four twin-engine IFR trainers and three simulators one being a Frasca advanced training device.
