The International University in Geneva now known as the International Institute in Geneva (IIG) offers a comprehensive range of student support services designed to help students succeed academically, socially and personally during their studies in Geneva. These services are available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students and aim to support students from the moment they apply through to graduation. Students at IIG have access to academic and administrative support, including academic counselling and guidance through registration, course selection and other academic matters. The institute’s student services team assists with practical needs such as visa formalities, residence permits, health insurance requirements, and financial matters, helping international students navigate Swiss regulations and requirements. IIG also provides housing assistance, helping students find suitable accommodation in Geneva or nearby, which is particularly important in an international city with a tight rental market. For wellbeing and personal development, IIG offers a counselling service where students can speak confidentially with a counsellor on campus about personal, academic or adjustment‑related issues, with set office hours available throughout the term.
