Jamia Milia Islamia History

Jamia Millia Islamia is a central Delhi public university. It became a Central University in 1988 through an act of the Indian Parliament. University designed by Sir Sarwar Jung of Delhi. Today, the institution holds the illumination torch that gives shape to ideas and encourages innovation.

Jamia Milia Islamia Programs, Courses, and Schools

Jamia Millia Islamia has nine faculties to offer academic programs and extension programs. This faculty, through the following programs, specializes in quality training and education for budding lawyers: B. A. LLB (Premium) LLM. Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics has the Architecture Department and the following programs are offered: B. Arch (regular and self - funded) M. M. Ekistics arch. The Department of Humanities and Languages has nine departments offering courses in the areas of Ph.D., M Phil (pre - Ph.D.), postgraduate, undergraduate, diploma, and certificate. They have Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Faculty of Education.

Jamia Milia Islamia Campuses

The scenic cricket ground of the university, Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi Sports Complex (popularly known as the Bhopal Ground), hosted numerous major cricket tournaments and Indian women's match. In addition to its seven faculties, the Jamia has learning and research centers such as the Anwar Jamal Kidwai Mass Communication Research Center (MCRC), the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, the Faculty of Fine Arts, the Theoretical Physics Center and the Third World Studies Academy of Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar (ATWS). The Jamia offers information and technology courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Jamia Millia Islamia joined the campus green campaign of 2,250-kilowatt solar panels.
