Johannes Kepler University Linz is a public institution of higher education in Austria, located in Linz. The University was established in the year 1966 as “College of Social Sciences” and “Economics and Business”.

The JKU campus is simply practical for many reasons: you do not run "empty" kilometers, because all the major buildings are close to each other on the campus. JKU's campus is located in the northeast of Linz, in the Auhof area of the St. Magdalena district. The JKU is also located close to Austria's autobahn network at the Dornach exit on the A7 Mühlkreisautobahn (ca. 1 km or 0.6 miles).
