The Campus Safety Team offers the following services to the campus community twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week: Answering assistance requests in our control room and transferring cases to other teams Assisting the Ambulance Service, Fire and Rescue Service, and Police in safeguarding and maintaining the safety of our community by responding to emergencies as the fourth emergency service keeping an eye on a vast network of on-site CCTV, access control, and alarm systems to ensure the safety of the university and its residents Their award-winning 'Safezone App' system (more on that below) also answers support calls, and if you press the 'Red' button and require assistance, we get in touch with you in a matter of seconds. In order to safeguard our university and maintain the safety and comfort of our community, our officers wear a unique uniform that makes us immediately identifiable. They patrol the campus and surrounding buildings and grounds both on foot and in designated electric vans, day and night. If you need support or advice, or if you have issues or worries about others or yourself, they are approachable, kind, and eager to help.
