Khazar University History
The University was established in 1991 with the name Azerbaijan University. The University was an English medium one so as to serve the necessity of qualified English speakers in the country. The Academic Council of the University in the year 1992 changed the name to Khazar University.

The University comprises of 3 schools namely School of Science and Engineering, School of Economics and Management and School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences. The Academic Departments at the University are Life Sciences, Computer Sciences, Physics and Electronics, Civil Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Geography and Environment, Economics and Management, Law, Languages and Literatures, Education, English Language and Literature, History and Archaeology, Music and Fine Arts, Political Science and Philosophy and Psychology.

The University comprises of three campuses namely Neftchilar Campus, Downtown Campus, and the Binagadi Campus.

1. Khazar University International Scholarships Azerbaijan
Khazar University provides Scholarships for International Applicant. Khazar University announces the Excellence and Merit Scholarships for distinguished international applicants who wish to pursue bachelors, masters and doctoral (Ph.D.) degrees at Khazar. The objective of Khazar University scholarships is to encourage and support applicants with an exemplary academic performance from all over the world to study at Khazar University, a leading private university of Azerbaijan that offers quality education in English. Khazar University Excellence Scholarship. Initially, the scholarship is given for one year. It may be subject to prolongation depending on the academic performance of the student.
Eligibility Criteria /Scholarship Guidelines
In order to be considered eligible, candidates:
Must be a citizen of a country other than Azerbaijan.
Must apply to one of the masters or Ph.D. programs at Khazar University.
Must demonstrate excellent academic performance and high achievements at previous study level(s).
Must demonstrate academic talent and strong motivation in the chosen field of study Khazar University Merit Scholarships.
