Korea University is a private research university that was established in the year 1905. The university is located in Seoul, South Korea. The university is one of the nation's oldest and most prominent institutions of higher education. It is one of Korea's three SKY universities and is considered the most prestigious in the country. The university has 3 campuses: Anam Campus, Sejong Campus, and Seoul Campus. 

Korea University has more than sixty programs and departments some of them are: Law, Business Administration, Korean Language, and Literature, Philosophy, Korean History, History, Psychology, Sociology, Classical Chinese, English Language, and Literature, German Language and Literature, French Language and Literature, Chinese Language and Literature, Russian Language and Literature, Japanese Language and Literature, Spanish Language and Literature, Linguistics, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Food Bioscience & Technology, and many more. All these departments are divided into the following 17 colleges and schools: Law School, Business School, College of Liberal Arts, College of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, College of Political Science and Economics, College of Science, College of Engineering, College of Medicine, College of Education, College of Nursing, College of Information and Communication, College of Health Science, Korea University College of Informatics, School of Art and Design, Division of International Studies, School of Media and Communication, Mechatronics, and School of Interdisciplinary Studies. 

Korea University has more than 28,431 students which include 19,694 Undergraduate students, 8,737 Graduate students, and 2,327 International students. The university has more than 5,225 faculty members and the student to faculty ratio is 21. 

Korea University provides scholarship opportunities to students on the basis of academic excellence. The university has three hospitals: Anam Hospital, Ansan Hospital, and Guro Hospital. The hospitals have achieved the highest level of health care in the world by acquiring JCI certification. The university also comprises a library that has a collection of 2,520,286 books, periodicals, dissertations, antique books in Chinese characters, and 89,148 non-book materials. The library also has other materials in digital format like e-journals, web databases, papers, and e-books.
