Kyoto University is a public university which was established in 1897,Japan. The university has three campuses:two in Kyoto and one in Uji: Yoshida Campus in Kyoto; Katsura Campus in Kyoto; Gokash Campus in Uji. 

Kyoto University comprises of ten faculties and graduate schools which offers undergraduate and graduate programs:Faculty of Integrated Human Studies, Faculty of Letters, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Agriculture. The university has 14 research institutes and 16 academic centers. 

Kyoto University has more than 22,000 students including 13,399 undergraduate students and 9,308 graduate students. The university has 2,214 international students from 100 countries across the globe. There are 2,864 faculties in the university. The student to faculty ratio is 11:1.

Notable Alumni: Hideki Yukawa - first Japanese to win the Nobel prize, Kiyosi Itô - mathematician, Riko Muranaka, winner in 2017 for her combat of anti-HPV vaccination.
