Kyushu University is a Japanese National University established in the year 1903. The University is located in Fukuoka, in the Island of Kyushu. It is one of the most prestigious largest public University in Japan. The University has partnered with 115 foreign universities. Currently, there are 11 overseas offices located around the Globe aiming to recruit outstanding international students. The University has five campus: Hakozaki, Maidashi, Ohashi, Chikushi, and Ito.
The University’s Undergraduate programs are taught in 11 schools: School of letters, School of Education, School of Law, School of Economics, School of Sciences, School of Medicine, School of Dentistry, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Engineering, School of Design and School of Agriculture. Notable Alumni: Hakaru Hashimoto (Medical scientist Discoverer of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis), Heitaro Nakajima (PhD, Led sony’s compact disc project in the 1970’s), Koichi Wakata (PhD, was a veteran of four NASA space shuttle).
