Lakeland College Vermilion is a government-financed post-secondary institution located in Alberta, Canada. During the academic year, Lakeland serves approximately 7,000 students, including 2,223 full- and part-time students.
Lakeland College Vermilion History
The Vermilion Board of Trade advocated for a demonstration farm and/or agricultural college with the provincial government in 1908. The provincial government bought land near seven Alberta municipalities, including the Vermilion townsite, in 1911. In 1913, the Vermilion farm was transformed into the Vermilion School of Agriculture (VSA). VSA was the first of three agricultural colleges to open in 1913, on November 17th. Olds and Claresholm were the other schools. Vermilion College became Lakeland College in 1975, when both the Alberta and Saskatchewan governments began supporting regional facilities.

Lakeland College was established to provide agricultural education, but it has since expanded while remaining faithful to its roots. Lakeland College now offers over 50 programs on its campuses in Vermilion and Lloydminster, as well as online. With nine different schools and continuing education options, Lakeland College provides a practical education for powerful learners.

Lakeland College's USP/Achievements is that its programs are well-recognized on a global scale. Interior design technology students at Lakeland College Vermillion have won multiple national and international student design competitions. The National Kitchen and Bath Association have endorsed it as the sole Canadian program to date (NKBA). The NKBA has also awarded the program with Excellence in Education Awards.

The Vermillion Campus of Lakeland College is Alberta's third-oldest post-secondary institution. The Vermillion campus of Lakeland College was founded in 1913. On-campus, there is a 3,000-acre Student-Managed Farm Powered by New Holland, as well as an Animal Health Clinic, Agriculture Technology Centre, Dairy, Learning Centre, Equine Centre, Emergency Training Centre, Modern labs and lecture theatres, Interior design studios and labs, Student Centre, Trades Centre, and Research Centre.

On-campus housing services are available at Lakeland College Vermillion. Classes, the cafeteria, the bookstore, Spurs, and everything else are all within walking distance of Vermilion's housing village. Because there are a limited amount of single rooms, first-year students will be placed in a double room. Returning students and those with medical difficulties are given single rooms. The application fee for Lakeland College Vermillion housing is $50, and you must pay $2,703 for a single room and $2,244 for a double room.

Vermilion Lakeland College Residential life is quite pleasant and exciting. Lakeland College Vermilion's Residential Life You may rely on the assistance of trained residence helpers (RAs). You agree to follow the rules by signing a residence contract. Each semester, your rent is due at the start of the semester.
Its dorms and family housing units are completely smoke-free. Mail is delivered to the residence office; check there for your mail and shipments.
The washers and dryers are free; however you must provide your own detergent.
Because there are no maids, you must clean up after yourself. When it's time to depart, you must schedule a check-out time.
