Step-by-Step Guide to Admission Requirements at Lancaster University Management School

completing the university application :

International students must typically achieve certain academic standards, demonstrate English proficiency, and complete the UCAS application process in order to be admitted to Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) as undergraduates. In addition to meeting the academic criteria of the particular program they are seeking for, international students usually need to demonstrate their proficiency in the English language with an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher. These prerequisites could be a minimum number of points in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma program or a particular grade point average (GPA).  

The University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) application is required of all candidates. Usually, the admissions procedure includes an interview invitation for applicants. For courses beginning in 2025, the final UCAS application deadline is usually June 30th, however it is advised to submit applications well in advance of this date.

  • Environment Agency : As the environmental regulator for England, the Environment Agency is essential to achieving the UK government's environmental goals. Its main objectives are to support sustainable development and to preserve and enhance the environment. A team from the Agency's national science directorate and the North West region is housed at LEC, which serves as a hub for Agency personnel and activities. It also serves as a catalyst for the larger environmental professional community. They collaborate on: environmental quality research and policy, with an emphasis on instruments and methods for measuring and monitoring air and water quality Training and placement for workers and students
  • British Geological Survey : The British Geological Survey is the oldest national geological survey in the world and the leading source of knowledge and information on earth science in the United Kingdom. Jointly appointed employees are part of a strategic cooperation between LEC and BGS. They work together on a number of subjects, such as: comprehensive knowledge of the subsurface processes affecting society and earth resources, including resource management and public perceptions of danger, as well as state-of-the-art modelling and analysis methods used for our natural resources
  • Rothamsted Research : The world's oldest agricultural research station is Rothamsted Research, an independent scientific research agency. The goal of Rothamsted is to provide the information and innovative techniques required to improve crop quality and productivity and to provide ecologically friendly methods for producing food and energy.
