Lanzhou University History
Lanzhou University is a research university located in Lanzhou in the province of Gansu, China. The university was established in 1909 and was identified as a national key university in the year 1996 by the Chinese Ministry of Education. Presently, the university enrolls over 20,000 students and employs 4000+ academic and administrative staff.

Lanzhou University is ranked as one of the world’s top 10 universities for its contributions to academic publications in international journals frequently cited by ongoing research. The university is also regarded as one of the key universities under the Chinese Ministry of Education’s Project 985 and Project 211.
