Demand for DAS housing is high, so it’s important to apply early applications are typically reviewed well before the semester starts and places can fill up quickly.

In the campus cities of Kemi and Tornio, student housing is generally arranged through local housing companies such as Kiinteistö Oy Itätuuli, AvaraSuomi Oy and Tornion Krunni Oy, which provide apartments ranging from shared flats to studios. These are usually within a few kilometres of the educational units, and many students share common kitchens and bathrooms with one or two others while having their own private bedroom
