Lesley University History

Lesley University is a private university placed in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was established in the year 1909 by Edith Lesley. It is one of the prestigious institutions in Massachusetts.

Lesley University, offers 20 undergraduate programs, 90 Bachelor’s, Master’s, Ph.D. and Certificates of Advanced Graduate Study programs at Cambridge and Boston campus. It also offers 7 faculties in a different department. The University has more than 750 academic staff, including 2,655 undergraduate students and 4,805 postgraduate students.

Lesley University Campuses

Lesley University has 3 campuses. The first campus is the Brattle campus located in Harvard Square, Cambridge. It also includes four residence halls, classrooms, Sherrill Halls and Graduate School of Arts and Social Sciences. The second campus is Doble Campus located in Cambridge Common, Cambridge. It include the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, it also has Marran Theatre and has administrative offices. The third campus is Porter Campus, located in Porter Square, Cambridge. It includes the College of Arts and Design, the Lunder Arts Center, Graduate School of Education, bookstore, library.

Lesley University Achievements

Lesley University, Prof. Rachel Kadish was the winner of the Jewish Book and was honored Council’s Book Club Award for her novel “The Weight of Ink”. Doctoral student Nicole Martone received the Master Teacher of Honor Award from Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education. Harris student of the University was awarded Lenscratch Photography Award for his series “Evelyn Beckett”.

Lesley University was ranked #601-800th in US Rankings in 2019. The University ranked 183 as a Best Colleges in National Universities. It also ranked #237 in High School Counselor Rankings. Lesley University has always been emphasis to its motto of “I would have Perished had I not Persisted.
