1. Academic Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 (or equivalent)

Strong academic background in chosen discipline

2. Language Proficiency

Chinese-taught programs:

HSK 5 (minimum 210 score) for most programs

HSK 6 required for Economics, Law, and Korean Studies

English-taught programs (limited):

IELTS 6.0+ or TOEFL 80+ (waived for native English speakers)

3. Research Proposal

800–1,000 words (required for thesis-based programs)

Must align with LNU’s research strengths (e.g., Northeast Asian economics, optoelectronics)

4. Application Documents

Completed online application form

Notarized bachelor’s degree certificate + transcripts (English/Chinese translation)

2 Academic Recommendation Letters (from professors or supervisors)

Passport copy

Study Plan / Research Proposal

Physical Examination Record (for visa processing)

Non-criminal Record Certificate

Language proficiency certificate (HSK/IELTS/TOEFL)
