Lincoln University Background

Lincoln University is a New Zealand university that was started in the late twentieth century when Lincoln College, Canterbury was given a status of autonomy. Its undergraduate study areas include a vast number of subjects including agriculture, commerce, computing, engineering, environment and food. Lincoln University has a student population from more than sixty countries. 

Lincoln University Programs and Courses

The University has three main faculties, Faculty of Agribusiness and Commerce, Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences and Faculty of Environment, Society and Design. There are various courses covering a vast number of subjects offered under these three faculties. 

Lincoln University Campuses

Lincoln University has a vast campus and the students association has been pretty active on campus since 1919. LUSA is central in organizing, supporting and funding the clubs on campus. These clubs arrange a wide range of activities for the students and are have formed various clubs and committees to support these activities. 

Lincoln University Rankings

For 2017 and 2018 Lincoln's ranking is 319, released by Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings. Lincoln also has a QS Five Stars rating. Lincoln ranks in the top 50 in the fields of Agriculture and Forestry and also Hospitality and Leisure Management.

Lincoln University Notable Alumni

Notable alumni of the university include Richie McCaw – former All Blacks Captain, Sam Whitelock – All Black and Andy Ellis – former All Black.
