Everything You Need to Know About Application Requirements at Linnaeus University

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) of at least 180 European credits (or three years full-time study), or in some cases at least 90 credits in the relevant discipline for 1-year Master’s programmes. 

Applicants must satisfy specific entry requirements for the chosen Master’s programme, which may include minimum number of credits in a relevant subject field and evidence of prior independent project work (for example at least 15 credits) as specified on the programme page. 

English language proficiency is required. Most Master’s programmes at LNU require at minimum English level equivalent to Swedish “English 6”. Scores on recognised tests (e.g., IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 90) may be applicable. 

Applications for Master’s programmes must be submitted via UniversityAdmissions.se and follow the deadlines (often by 15 January for autumn intake). An application fee applies for non-EU/EEA/Switzerland applicants.
