The Director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) country mission in Kenya is Kevin M. De Cock, M.D., F.R.C.P. (UK), D.T.M. & H.[1] In the past, he has held the positions of Director of the CDC Center for Global Health, Director of the CDC Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention, Surveillance, and Epidemiology, and Team Lead for the CDC response to Ebola in Liberia [2]. From 2006 to 2009, Dr. De Cock also held the position of Director of the World Health Organization's (WHO) Department of HIV/AIDS, where he oversaw all of WHO's HIV/AIDS-related activities and concentrated on projects to help low- and middle-income nations expand their programs for treatment, prevention, care, and support.
