LIU Post (officially the Long Island Institution C.W. Post Campus, and commonly referred to as C.W. Post) is a private university in Brookville, New York. It is the private Long Island University system's largest campus.
Long Island University Post History
LIU was founded by the New York State Education Department in 1926 and opened its first campus in Brooklyn. The LIU Post campus is named after breakfast cereal inventor Charles William Post, who sold the site (which had been Marjorie Merriweather Post's Long Island house known as Hillwood) to LIU in 1951 for $200,000 ($2,087,949 today). LIU renamed C.W. Post College after Post's father three years after purchasing the property.

Housing is provided by LIU Post. Students can live in one of the campus' eight residence halls. Males and females are separated by floor or wing in all of the rooms. Each hall has a capacity of 40 to 380 students. Brookville, Kings, Queens, Post, and Riggs are five of the residence halls that offer traditional living.
