    Developed as a bachelor's thesis by Dominik Hirzel and Andreas Schmid, Lokkit is a functional locker system that uses blockchain technology to create digital rental contracts. It allows a person to rent out a space without being present, as the contract, payment in cryptocurrency, and physical lock are all automated and secured by the blockchain, winning the national Siemens Excellence Award .
