The language of instruction in all courses at LUNEX is English, so students should be able to speak and understand English well. If language skills do not meet the entrance requirements for Bachelor level, students have the opportunity to participate in the Pre-Bachelor Foundation Programme to improve their English.
The best way is by attending one of the Open Door Days, which are held two or three times a year, where study programmes are presented and campus tours are offered. If unable to attend, it is possible to make an appointment for a visit, and a virtual 3D tour of the campus is also available on the website.
The application process involves filling out the Online Application Form, followed by participation in an Application Day. After successful participation, a study agreement is sent via email, which must be printed, signed, and returned along with the required evidence documents by post or email.
The required documents include a copy of your personal ID, a copy of the highest educational and/or vocational qualification, and a language certificate if applicable. Depending on the degree programme and your country of origin, further documents may be required.
Currently, LUNEX does not offer on-campus housing, but is actively working on providing affordable rooms in the future. Students need to find accommodation before the semester starts, and the university provides tips on flat hunting in Luxembourg and the immediate border regions where rent is generally cheaper.
A rented room in a shared flat costs between 600 and 800 euros per month, while a studio apartment costs between 900 and 1200 euros. The property market in Luxembourg is competitive and expensive, so students are encouraged to begin their housing search well before the semester starts.
EU citizens do not require a visa, while non-EU citizens need to apply for a visa and/or a residence permit to stay in Luxembourg for more than three months. After being officially accepted and receiving the Letter of Admission from LUNEX, students can apply for a student visa at the Luxembourg embassy.
Students holding a valid student residence permit may apply to stay in Luxembourg after obtaining a higher education diploma in order to find a job or set up a business. The application for a residence permit for this purpose must be submitted before the validity of the student residence permit ends.
