It is also considered as one of the largest colleges in the field of health sciences in United States. In 1852, it received a charter to grant formal degrees from the Great Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In 1979, the college was named as Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences. Later in the years, it again renamed it's institution to Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The college has its campuses in Boston, Manchester and Worcester.
