completing the university application :
Applicants must meet academic prerequisites appropriate for the chosen program: For example, completion of the Australian Year 12 (or equivalent secondary school qualification) for recent school leavers.
Minimum age requirement: International students must be at least 18 years old at course commencement; domestic applicants must be at least 17 years old.
English language proficiency is required: For example, MIT lists for certain programs an IELTS Academic overall score of 6.0 (with a minimum band 5.5) or equivalent.
On top of general entry, specific programs may require additional prerequisites (e.g., relevant subject backgrounds, portfolios, or prior study) and meeting Genuine Student (GS) requirements for international students.
