The MUCTR campus on Miusskaya Street, which is close to the metro stations Mendeleyevskaya and Novoslobodskaya, is home to a number of historic buildings situated between 1st Miusskaya Street and Miusskaya Square. Maxim Geppener, an architect, created the main structure in 1898 for the Moscow Industrial School in an eclectic architectural style. Prior to the addition of two further wings, the structure was a three-story structure with huge windows in the auditoriums. A bas-relief of Dmitry Mendeleev was placed in the main entryway in 1909. The main structure was already expanded by two levels during the Soviet era. The campus had extensive renovations in 2018 that included hydrophobization, drainpipe replacement, facade finishing, roofing updates, and brickwork updates.
