Mercer University History
Mercer University is a private university located in Macon, Georgia. It was established in the year 1833 as Mercer Institute and got university title in 1837. It is the oldest private university in Georgia.

The University includes College of Liberal Arts, School of Business Economics, Tift College of Education, Townsend School of Music, School of Engineering, School of Medicine, and programs of Penfield College are situated in Macon campus. The Mercer University School of Law is also located in Macon campus.
The second campus is the Atlanta campus. The campus includes a Graduate and Professional campus. The campus includes Penfield Colleges, James & Carolyn, McAfee School of Theology, and many more faculties are involved.
The third campus is the Savannah campus. The campus includes the School of Medicine, and it is located in Memorial University, Medical Center and research center are involved.
Mercer University Achievements
Mercer University, the baseball team was one of 50 NCAA Division I programs to the received award of “Team Academic Excellence Award” from American Baseball Coaches Association in 2019. Griffin B. Bell was awarded the Distinguished Service Award in Trusteeship by the Association of Governing Boards and Universities. The Mercer University athletics department received the Barrett-Bonner Award for a fourth consecutive year in 2019.
