In 2023, UTEM researchers conducted a study on the utilization of waste marble, an industrial byproduct, as a partial replacement in concrete mixtures. By applying advanced machine learning techniques such as Group Method of Data Handling Neural Network (GMDH-NN), Support Vector Regression (SVR), K-Nearest Neighbors (kNN), and Adaptive Boosting (AdaBoost), the research aimed to predict the impact of waste marble on the compressive strength of concrete.
