Middle Tennessee State University History
Middle Tennessee State University was established in the year 1911 as the normal school. The university is situated in Murfreesboro in Tennessee and is a public university. The university has got a long history where its name changed to Middle Tennessee State Normal School in 1911, and then in 1925 its name changed to Middle Tennessee State Teachers College, in 1943 it was named as Middle Tennessee State College. Finally in the year 1965, it got its recognition as Middle Tennessee State University. The university is regulated by the institutional board of trustees.

Students can become the part of student organisations and unions to participate in various recreational activities. University Media includes newspaper, magazines, journals and two radio stations.

There is a huge collection of books, journals, magazines, literature and databases. The digital access to the study material makes it convenient for the students and faculties to study.
