What are the general admission requirements for traditional undergraduate students?

First-time applicants need a cumulative high school GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent GED score). Midway University is test-optional, meaning SAT or ACT scores are not required for admission but are recommended for course placement. Applicants are accepted on a rolling basis, and a written response is typically provided within two weeks after all application materials are received

What is the application procedure for international undergraduate students?

International students must complete an online application with a nonrefundable $30 fee and a $50 processing fee. Required documents include official high school transcripts, proof of English proficiency (TOEFL: 61 iBT, IELTS: 6.0, or Duolingo: 85), and a financial guarantee. All documents must be in English or accompanied by an official translation

What types of scholarships does Midway University offer?

Students are also encouraged to seek external scholarships. What are the on-campus housing options for students?

Students can choose from three residence halls: Buster Hall (renovated in 2021), Belle Wisdom Hall, and Pinkerton Hall (renovated in 2019, listed on the National Register of Historic Places). Three campus houses are also available. All halls have laundry facilities, common lounges, microwaves, and furnished rooms with beds, dressers, desks, and internet access.

What is Optional Practical Training (OPT) and how can Midway University help?

OPT is a work authorization program for F-1 visa students, allowing them to work in their field of study for up to 12 months after graduation. Midway University’s Office of International Programs can guide students through the OPT application process, including filing Form I-765 with USCIS and ensuring employment is directly related to their major.
