The below information is required while
completing the university application :
1. Milligan requires a high school diploma or equivalent, official transcripts, and standardized test scores (ACT, SAT, or CLT).
2. For applicants with an ACT score below 21, SAT below 1060, CLT below 68, or a GPA below 2.75, a writing sample and a description of high school involvement are also required.
Milligan University facilitates student employment and recruitment through a centralized online portal, where students can search and apply for on-campus jobs, allowing them to gain valuable work experience with the flexibility and convenience of being on campus. A group of 10 Milligan University students and recent alumni earned top honors at the American Advertising Federation – Northeast Tennessee (AAF NETN) awards, receiving four awards including two Gold ADDY awards, a Judge’s Choice Award and Best of Show. Six students and four recent alumni were awarded a Gold ADDY and a Judge’s Choice Award for their collective work on the 2025 Countdown Campaign.
Milligan University’s Occupational Therapy (OT) new graduates in 2024 received a 100% pass rate on the National Board Certification for Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) exam. This remarkable accomplishment came as Milligan’s OT program celebrated its 25th anniversary of training students to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, reflecting the strength of the program’s rigorous academics and supportive, faith-based environment.
Milligan University announced a $1 million gift from Ballad Health, a major healthcare provider, to establish a state-of-the-art high-fidelity simulation laboratory that advanced clinical education for health sciences students preparing to fill critical gaps in the healthcare pipeline. Milligan’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates also achieved a 100 percent first-time pass rate on their licensure examination for two straight years.
Milligan University Athletic Director Christian Pope was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Athletic Director of the Year. Under his leadership, the Milligan Buffs claimed eight national titles in men’s and women’s indoor track, women’s swimming and men’s and women’s road cycling, and set the university’s single-year record for NAIA All-Americans.
