Beside the old Komisarov Technical School in Blagoveshchensky Lane, new academic buildings were built in 1892. The KTS's own power plant provided electric lighting for 20 distinct structures by 1902. The school had a woodworking shop, an iron foundry, and workshops for copper casting. Nearly every structure from the Komisarov School has survived to this day.
