Mount Royal University abbreviated as MRU is a Canadian public higher education establishment located in Calgary, Alberta. The university was established as Mount Royal college in 1910 and was renamed to Mount Royal Junior College in 1931. It was conferred university status in 2009 and currently enrols over 14000 students.

Mount Royal University is an undergraduate only institution and comprises of six faculties offering a range of Bachelor Degrees, Certificates, and Diploma programs in subjects such as Economics, Policy Studies, Languages and Cultures, Humanities, Interior Design, Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology, Accounting, Aviation, Finance, and General Management.

Mount Royal University is based on two campuses in Lincoln Park and Springbank in Calgary, Alberta and both are urban campuses. The campus houses a number of buildings housing the university’s administrative offices, academic departments, Studios, Performing Art Center, Sports Courts and Grounds, and student halls of residence.

Mount Royal University also offers facilities such as classrooms and lecture theatres, seminar rooms, auditoriums, well-equipped laboratories, and library with books, periodicals, and journals. The university also offers a number of dining and eating options, fitness facilities, common rooms, student union, and computing laboratories.
