Murdoch University Australia is an Australian public research university based in Perth, Western Australia. The university was established in 1973 followed by initial planning in 1969. The university takes its name after Sir Walter Murdoch, former Chancellor of the University of Western Australia.

Murdoch University Australia is also home to Asia Research Centre, which was formed in the year 1991. The research centre engages in collaboration with researchers from the university and beyond.

Murdoch University Australia has its primary campus based in the city of Perth in Australia. The university also maintains its international campuses in Dubai and Singapore. In Perth, the university has three campuses across the city. They are South Street Campus, Rockingham Campus, and Peel Campus.
Murdoch University Australia’s South Street Campus is the only campus in Western Australia to accommodate the veterinary school and its animal stocks. Most of the southern part of the university campus consists of paddocks of livestock, farms and renewable energy facilities. The university provides extensive leisure, study, shopping, accommodation, and sports facilities across all its campuses.
