Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine History

Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine is one of the esteemed public university located in Nanjing, China. The University was established in the year 1964. The university was initially started as a premier institute for rendering medical education in the district. It was formerly known by the name of Jiangsu Provincial School of Traditional Chinese Medicine and was renamed as Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in the year 1995.

Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine owes two beautiful campuses, namely Xianlin Campus and Hanzhongmen Campus. Both the campuses are lush and green and presents state of art infrastructure. The Campus has a Research Laboratory, a Gymnasium, Cultural Centre, Language Centre, Audio Visual Room, Basketball courts, Sports room, Swimming pool, Pharmaceutical factory, International Student Club.
Each campus has its own library and is connected to the main library at Xianlin campus. The main library of the University is very big and computerized and well equipped with latest version of books, e-books, foreign journals and documents. The library boasts 1 million Chinese medicinal books.
