Architects Felix Novikov and Grigory Saevich created the University complex, which was constructed between 1967 and 1971. Red bricks were used to construct the main administrative building with a library and five lecture halls, the assembly hall with a dining hall, two academic buildings, and the sports complex with a multipurpose arena and swimming pool. These structures were connected by passageways within the unified complex.
