Nebraska Wesleyan University History

Nebraska Wesleyan University was founded in the year 1887 in Lincoln, Nebraska. It is also a private Methodist university. The university in the beginning started really small with only 96 students getting enrolled and around eight staff. Early on, Nebraska Wesleyan was a college of liberal arts; schools of art, business, and education; a music conservatory; an academy also comprising an elementary school and kindergarten. Later on, it expanded and grew to be Nebraska Wesleyan University. Today the University has 2,100 students including 1,500 full-time students and 300 faculty and staff.
