Q. What are the eligibility requirements for admission to NMIT?

The eligibility criteria includes the following:

  1. Academic Qualifications: Provide full official transcripts and certificates.

  2. English Language Proficiency: Demonstrate the English language ability as part of the application process.

  3. Passport:  A copy of the passport needs to be uploaded as part of the application.

  4. Financials:
    - If the course duration is less than or equal to one academic year, then provide documentary evidence of funds for tuition fee for the entire course duration + NZ$ 15,000 towards living expenses in New Zealand.
    - If the duration of course is longer than one academic year then provide documentary evidence of funds for tuition fee for 1 academic year + NZ$ 15,000 per annum towards living expenses isn New Zealand + payment plan to show the student has access to funds and has ability to meet the rest    of the course cost and living expenses in New Zealand.

  5. Visas and Immigration: Apply for a student visa which covers the whole duration of the course.

Intakes defer from courses to courses. However the main intakes are February, May, July, October - November.

  3. IELTS - 6.0 Academic (no lower than 5.5 in each band) / TOEFL IBT - 79.
