Out of the total students, more than 2000 students reside on campus. NJIT has five halls dedicated to on-campus accommodation: Redwood Hall, Cypress Hall, Oak Hall, Laurel Hall, and Warren Street Village. Students can look for off-campus housing services nearby, including Harrison, Kearny, Fairmount, and East Orange.

Student Safety

NJIT offers campus safety services like night patrolling, late-night transport availability, 24-hour foot, 24-hour emergency helpline, controlled dormitory access, student patrols, etc. The pathways are always lit for preventive purposes. The departments responsible for students' safety are the Department of Public Safety, NJIT Annual Security and Fire Report, Personal Safety Tips, and Safe and Sound Newsletter. New Jersey Institute of Technology is ranked among the 100 safest colleges in America. It was also ranked as one of the Top 25 Universities for increased safety and security on campus. Career Support

New Jersey Institute of Technology offers on-campus jobs to students. The students must maintain an F1 status and are allowed to work only 20 hours a week while the classes are on, and during breaks, they can work more.
