Established in 1967, the Niagara College is a public college of applied arts and technology located within the Niagara Region of Southern Ontario, Canada. The college operates two campuses in the region: the Welland Campus and the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus.
The Niagara College at Welland comprises of various schools of study: School of Academic Liberal and Access Studies; School of Allied Health; School of Community Service; School of Justice and Fitness; School of English Language Studies; School of Media; School of Nursing and Personal Support Worker; School of Part-Time Studies; School of Technology; and School of Trade. In total, the college offers more than 100 diploma, certificate and bachelors programs. Through its pathway options the students can earn both a diploma and a university degree from an accredited Canadian university.
The total student population at the Niagara College is more than 12,500 students (fulltime) of which over 2,500 are international students. The student to faculty ratio at the college is 35:1.
Niagara College has developed many degree completion agreements with universities and colleges in Canada and across the world. Diploma graduates have numerous opportunities to complete a degree through Niagara College's partnering institutions in the Canadian province of Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia and New Brunswick. Students have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience by connecting with businesses in their field through NC Research & Innovation. The College’s Research & Innovation Division collaborates with local businesses to conduct innovative research projects in various specializations.
