Nyenrode Business Universiteit is a Dutch business university and the only private higher education institution that has the university status in the Netherlands. Founded in 1946, it is located on a large estate in the town of Breukelen, between Amsterdam and Utrecht.

As a non-EU graduate, you can apply for an Orientation Year Visa (zoekjaar) after completing your studies . This visa allows you to stay in the Netherlands for one year to find employment or start your own business. It is recommended to apply at least three months before your current student visa expires, as the process can take three to six months .
To maintain your student visa, the Dutch Immigration Services (IND) requires that you attain at least 50% of your study credits per academic year . For students starting in September, this means you must have passed at least 30 ECTS by the end of the academic year. If you plan to work part-time (max 16 hours per week) or do an internship, your employer must apply for a work permit, and you will need to take out Dutch health insurance .
