Oakland University’s infrastructure includes a variety of specialized facilities supporting research, education, and campus services. Additionally, Oakland’s off-campus Laboratory for Outdoor Research, Agriculture, Conservation, and Sustainability (LORACS) supports field-based research on the East Campus. In terms of digital infrastructure, Oakland’s network includes a virtual local area network (VLAN) for specific environments, a comprehensive network diagram for system management, and robust IT infrastructure providing internet access, wireless networks, and off-campus connectivity to software and services.
