In 1995, the institution name was changed to Okanagan University College, but the older name Okanagan College was re-adopted on July 1, 2005, as Okanagan University College was divided into Okanagan College and University of British Columbia Okanagan.

In 1963 Okanagan College was founded. Okanagan College is a public, post-secondary institution with more than 120 certificates, diplomas, degrees and programs as well as trades programs. The College’s largest campus is situated in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. Salmon Arm campus is a satellite campus located in Salmon Arm, Canada.
