Okanagan College is a public, post-secondary institution established in 1963. Okanagan College has since grown to be the largest college in British Columbia outside the Lower Mainland and Victoria. It operates four campuses in British Columbia at Kelowna, Penticton, Vernon, and Salmon Arm.
Okanagan College offers various programs to international students such as ESL courses/language training, vocational and trades programs and four-year degree programs in both Business and Computer Information Systems. Many students also choose the university transfer programs, which allows students a smooth transition and cost-saving entry method into many of Canada’s most prestigious universities. This program includes courses in history, literature, psychology, chemistry, biology, physics and gender studies.
Okanagan College offers a variety of career-focused programs with small class sizes including academic, vocational, trades, apprenticeship and continuing education programs and courses. Total student population at the college is more than 8,500 students (across all campuses) of which over 1,000 are international students.
Okanagan College’s Salmon Arm campus located in the beautiful Shuswap-Revelstoke region in the Southern Interior of B.C which offers a vast array of Diploma, Certificates, Associate Degree & Bachelor Degree programs in various streams such as Arts and Science, Business, Trades, Health and Continuing Studies. The Salmon Arm area has become known for its active agricultural community (Grindrod Garlic Festival, Fungi Festival), its dedication to music through well-established events like the Roots and Blues Festival, as well as being a place for summertime water sports and house boating on Shuswap Lake’s 1,000-km of shoreline.
