Orebro University History
The University of Orebro is a state university located in Orebro, Sweden. Uppsala University set up a branch in Orebro, the Social Sciences College, in 1967. A merger of the branch of Uppsala University in Örebro, the Preschool Teaching Seminary, and the College of Physical Education and Sports Science established Örebro University College in 1977.

Orebro University Achievements
On 30 March 2010, in collaboration with Örebro University Hospital, the university was granted the right to award medical degrees, making it Sweden's 7th medical school. The University of Örebro co - hosts the Swedish Research Council's Center of Gender Excellence.
