Peking Union Medical College History

Peking Union Medical College is one of the esteemed and oldest public university located in Dongcheng district of Beijing, China. The University was established in the year 1906 as a small medical institute. The university was initially started as a small academy imparting higher education only for medical education and later became a full-fledged college. Earlier the university was known as Beijing Anti-Imperialism Hospital and in the year 1979 it was renamed as Peking Union Medical College. The college is known for its Research programs in Medicine and Healthcare Programs.
