Pontifical Xavierian University, the main facilities in Bogota and a second campus is in Cali. The new Science Building will be located on the north-western side of the university campus, adjoining Carrera 7 and becoming a strategic point of entry to the University. With a constructed area of approximately 13,197m2, it consists of 2 basements and 8 parking spaces that will house laboratories, offices, cafeterias, classrooms, auditorium, and public space. The Xavierian University has 2 libraries: the overall Library and also the Mario Valenzuela, S.J., Library. The latter library makes a specialty of philosophy and theology and is rated because the best in these disciplines in a geographical area.

The University is one among the twelve universities in the Republic of Colombia having a top-quality institutional accreditation, granted it for eight years by Resolution 1320, twelve Gregorian calendar month 2003, of the Ministry of National Education. In 2007 Manuel Franco was awarded for the first place in the Health Area by Biennial Prize.
