Post University History

Post University is a private university that is located in Waterbury, Connecticut. The university was founded back in the year 1890. It initially started as Mattoon Short and School. This school offered various courses and training in areas like business writing, bookkeeping, and so on. In the year 1897, the school was renamed Waterbury Business College, and again in 1932, it was renamed Post College. Post University over the years continued to grow by offering various different programs. In 1976, the university started offering four-year programs. In 1990, the university had its affiliation with Teikyo University and hence was given the name Teikyo Post University. Later in the year 2004, with the recommendation of the board of trustees, it finally was given the name Post University.
