How do students register for elective courses and specializations at PUEB?

Throughout their studies, students must register for specific courses using the USOS system. For elective courses, students vote for their choices for the next academic year during the summer semester, and the course chosen by the majority becomes obligatory for the whole group. First-year Bachelor students also use USOS to vote for their specialization, with the majority decision determining the path for the entire cohort .

While the university provides three halls of residence, students often choose private accommodation options including private dormitories and rooms in shared flats throughout Poznań

What documents are required to apply for a Bachelor's program at PUEB?

Candidates must submit a completed application form through e-rekrutacja.ue.poznan.pl, a passport-type color photograph, a legalized High School Diploma with apostille or consular confirmation, a statement from the Polish consul confirming the right to apply for higher education, proof of English language proficiency at minimum B2 level, proof of medical support such as health insurance or EHIC, and a copy of their passport

How are candidates evaluated for admission to first-cycle programs?

Admission is determined through a verification process where the admissions staff reviews all submitted documents. Ranking lists of candidates are then created based on their final marks obtained for two qualifying subjects: Mathematics and either Geography, History, IT, or Business

What scholarships are available for current students at PUEB?

Students who were enrolled at PUEB in the previous academic year can apply for scholarships from the Own Scholarship Fund based on scientific achievements, activity benefiting the university community, or outstanding sports achievements. Applications must be submitted by December 15th to the Student Affairs Department

What achievements qualify a student for a scientific research scholarship?

Students qualify for research scholarships by publishing a scientific article in a recognized Ministry journal, publishing a monograph or chapter of at least national range, or independently delivering a lecture at an international or national scientific conference as an author or co-author

What are the costs and conditions of living in the ATOL dormitory?

ATOL dormitory offers 186 places in twin rooms with private bathrooms at 650 PLN per month for students. Rooms are furnished with bedding and blankets provided, though tenants must bring their own towels and dishes. Each room has internet connection, and the building features a TV room and recreational room on the ground floor with 24-hour reception .

How can students apply for a place in university housing?

The application process is regulated by the Rector's announcement each academic year. For the ATOL dormitory specifically, a refundable deposit of 650 PLN is required upon arrival, and the manager's office is located on the ground floor open Monday through Friday from 07:00 to 15:00 .

What are the legal stay requirements for non-EU students after studies?

Non-EU researchers and students must apply for a residence permit to legalize their stay if they plan to remain in Poland for longer than three months. It is recommended to apply as soon as receiving the confirmation letter about admission, as the process to obtain a residence card takes time .

Upon registering your stay, you become eligible to receive a personal identity number (PESEL), which enables access to healthcare, the ability to open a bank account, and obtaining insurance coverage .
